Solar Panel Installation

Solar designed around your property, not a catalogue

Plenty of installers sell the same 6.6 kW special to every house on the street. We do not. Your roof orientation, shading, pitch, switchboard and the way your household actually uses power all change what the right system looks like. We start there, then design a system that produces power when you need it and pays back as fast as the numbers honestly allow.

That means the right size, not the biggest number we can fit on the roof, and panels and an inverter matched to the job rather than whatever is cheapest that week. Because we are a solar-led electrician, the whole install, from switchboard to the last panel, is done by the same licensed local team, and Brett is the person who designs it, installs it and comes back if it ever needs attention. Many homes pair their panels with battery storage to use more of what they generate, and we install right across the areas we cover on the Yorke Peninsula and Mid-North.

Solar panels built for South Australian conditions

Solar panels in South Australia work harder than almost anywhere in the country, through fierce summer heat, long UV hours and the odd dust storm. Good solar is only as good as the parts and the person fitting them, so we install CEC-approved panels and inverters, which is both a quality benchmark and a condition of claiming the federal STC discount. Accredited installation (CEC A1944620) protects your warranties, your rebate eligibility and, most importantly, the safety and longevity of the system on your roof through years of SA heat.

System size vs price after the STC discount

The table below shows common residential system sizes. Indicative prices sit after the federal small-scale technology certificate (STC) discount is applied, which is deducted at the point of sale. We do not publish fixed prices we cannot stand behind, because your roof and switchboard change the real quote. For worked figures see our South Australian solar cost guide.

System size vs indicative price after the STC discount

System size Suits Indicative price after STC
3 to 5 kW Smaller homes, modest daytime use ~$3,500 to $5,000
6 to 8 kW Family homes with typical daytime use ~$5,000 to $7,000
10 to 13 kW Larger homes, high daytime use, battery-ready ~$8,000 to $12,000

Figures are indicative and current as at July 2026, and already include the STC discount. Your roof, switchboard and component choice move the real quote.

How we work

Our process

  1. Assessment and design

We review your bills, roof and usage, then design a system sized to your real needs and confirm your STC eligibility.

  2. Quality install

CEC-accredited installation by our local licensed team, with your switchboard and metering handled properly.

  3. Handover and support

We show you how to read your system and monitor its output, and we are a phone call away afterwards.

SA rebates & incentives

Make the most of the rebates

The federal STC discount and the Cheaper Home Batteries Program can take a real slice off your upfront cost in South Australia. Our plain-English guide explains what you actually qualify for.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

It can be for a home with modest daytime use, but with feed-in tariffs falling and batteries and EVs on the rise, most smaller homes we design now land at 8 to 10 kW, often paired with a 10 to 15 kWh battery. Whether that suits you depends on your usage and roof. We size the system to your bills rather than a default number.
